Expected impacts

• Enhanced collaboration between people from different fields combining nanotechnologies and biotechnologies

• Detection of important biomarkers, enhancing sensitivity, reliability and accuracy of diagnosis thanks to a new technological tool provided by the project

• Early disease (cardio-vascular disease, the cancer and the infectious diseases) diagnosis made possible and inexpensive

• Useful system for POC (Points of Care such as doctor's offices or emergency wards) where specific and rapid determination of a relevant analyse or a whole diagnostic panel will be available thanks to the nanoantenna system

• Nanoantenna system might be advantageous for the determination of diagnostic parameters in tissues samples, where currently preparation of sample material is the most limiting factor

• Great influence in the management of patients by improving their quality of life and reducing mortality rate
