
Our nanobiosensor can be potentially applied to the detection of any kind of biological species. For the purposes of this project, we have decided to apply our sensor to the detection of proteins present in body fluids. These proteins have been chosen since they have been identified as specific biomarkers of common pathologies.
As biomarkers, the chosen proteins are yet used in the pathology diagnosis or prognosis. In the aim of validation of our nanobiosensor, we will apply it to improve their detection (better sensitivity, decrease of the detection threshold for example) and open the way to the early diagnosis.
Furthermore, the advantage to detect some well-known biomarkers is the possibility to compare our technique to some diagnosis techniques already existing and be able to demonstrate the improvement made by our new sensor. In this project we will focus on the sensing of different proteins with relevant applications in the medical field.
